The Morton Family Blog

Thanks for taking time and stopping by and reading our family blog. As a family of 6 we are busy and hope to encourge everyone to understand that everyone is different in his or her own way and that people shouldn't be looked at for their size but for their selves. Our youngest daughter Jalinn was born with dwarfism and we hope to raise awareness for the Little People community.

Jalinn Walking More and More

Jalinn is walking more and more on her own.  It is so cute to see her walk with no help.  We meet with her PT, OT and Speech Therapist 2 weeks and one of the goals is to have her walking 95% of the time in 6 months...well we are almost there.  I would say she is walking about 50% of the time.  She is climbing on everything and getting into everything as well.  I will say she is much happier now that she can get up and walk to what she wants now.  She is not talking alot yet at 19 months but her therapist think that with her walking more now it will come.  POLP Question for you: What age did you kiddo start to talk?  Jalinn is only saying dada, mama, taytay and that is pretty much it.

Here are some video's of her walking.

  2. She's so adorable! She has such a big smile on her face too! Preston didn't talk much at all until he got tubes in his ears at 23 months. Now he is five and half and talks more than I'd like at times. LOL. He started talking as soon as those tubes went in.
She looks so steady on her feet. She'll be running before you know it!
